At Least Announcers Aren’t All That Bad

On March 22 you printed a letter from Jack Bendar, who opined that “the Laker announcers are probably the worst in the business right now.”

Perhaps Mr. Bendar can’t get adequate Southern exposure out there in the Pacific Palisades, but those of us who are able to hear the announcers from every city on the NBA League Pass package via satellite know just how wrong he is. No one will ever even approach Chick, of course, but Paul and Stu are easily in the top five of NBA announcing teams. As a longtime Laker fan who watches every game over the mini-dish from Northern California, I groan every time I have to watch the Lakers with the other team’s announcers. The sooner Laker fans realize how lucky we are, the better.
