Police Find Cab Driver Shot Dead in His Taxi

Santa Ana police are investigating the death of a cab driver found in his vehicle in the 700 block of Townsend Avenue early Friday.
The body of the driver, in his 30s was found shot dead at 3:45 a.m. after neighbors had called police to report an injured person in a car. Police did not identify him.
“We do not know whether he had a fare or not,” said Officer Mario Corona. “A lot of times the motive in something like this is robbery but we just don’t know yet.”
