India’s censors target broadcasters

Television stations and cable operators in India have been ordered to stop airing movies, music videos and trailers deemed unsuitable for viewers under age 18, the broadcast minister was quoted as saying Friday.
India’s government may block out the channels that do not comply, Ravi Shankar Prasad told the Indian Express newspaper.
“If you want to watch adult stuff, get it on video or DVD,” said India’s chief censor, Anupam Kher.
