1st Hollywood Sign Sells for $450,400 on EBay

The original Hollywood sign sold for $450,400 in an EBay auction that ended Tuesday night, the sign’s owner said.
Dan Bliss said he hoped to learn the name of the winning bidder today.
Bliss, 35, a West Los Angeles entrepreneur, said he bought the sign two years ago from a man who acquired it in 1978, when the city put up a new sign.
The original sign was built in 1923 to promote a real estate development.
