Fresno State Defeats Northridge

Quinton Hosley scored a game-high 24 points and Kevin Bell added nine points and nine assists to power Fresno State to a 75-60 victory over Cal State Northridge on Wednesday night at Fresno.
Hosley’s performance, which included 13 rebounds, helped the Bulldogs overcome the loss of leading scorer Ja’Vance Coleman, who sat out nearly 10 minutes after suffering a bruised eye while fighting for a loose ball.
Northridge (4-3) held Fresno State (4-1) scoreless for the first 4:20 in the second half and came as close as 49-42 on Jonathan Heard’s basket with 9:40 remaining. Fresno State responded with a 24-12 run to build its lead to 73-54.
UC Santa Barbara 65, Pepperdine 56 -- Cecil Brown scored a career-high 28 points and helped rally the Gauchos (3-3) from a nine-point deficit at Santa Barbara.
Tashaan Forehan-Kelly finished with 21 points for the Waves (1-5).
