Former Hostage Returns Home From Afghanistan

An Italian aid worker who was held hostage in Afghanistan for more than three weeks arrived home saying she had been treated well, but she expressed concern for those still in captivity.
In Kabul, the Afghan government said four people detained because of alleged links to the kidnappers had been released from police custody. Interior Ministry spokesman Latfullah Mashal said the releases of the four, including the mother of one of the alleged abductors, were not part of any deal with the kidnappers. Rather, the four had been detained for questioning, Mashal said.
