Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Minivan

A motorcyclist died Friday when he collided with a minivan on the San Diego Freeway during heavy traffic, officials said.
Fernando Moreno, 33, of South Gate was pronounced dead at the scene of the 5 p.m. accident in the southbound carpool lane near Seal Beach Boulevard in Seal Beach.
California Highway Patrol officials could not say whether anyone else was injured. The cause of the accident was still under investigation.
