* German airline DBA said it planned to buy as many as 40 Boeing Co. 737s. The planes, worth about $2.4 billion at list prices, are due to be delivered between 2008 and 2010, DBA said.
* Northrop Grumman Corp. was awarded a 10-year contract valued at as much as $2 billion from Virginia to revamp the state’s information technology systems. Gateway Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co., Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. and MCI Inc. also were part of the winning bid, Northrop said.
