I’ve never been arrested or indicted. But I can assure you, if I am ever booked and photographed, I will not be smiling. Rep Tom DeLay’s grinning mug shot (Oct. 21) says it all. DeLay (R-Texas) thinks this is a joke -- that laws and statutes do not apply to him.
Perhaps if senior White House officials are also indicted in the CIA leak scandal, the Republican Party will take society’s laws more seriously.
