SUSAN SPANO has the best adventures [“Once-in-a-Lifetime Train Ride in Serbia,” Her World, June 11], and I admire her spirit and for choosing the less-traveled path. My train ride, on the Trans-Siberian years ago, was very similar; it’s a highlight of my travels.
And who can say driving on Interstate 10 from L.A. to Palm Springs isn’t even more tedious and irritating?
