Re “Mourners Recall an ‘Original,’ ” March 7
As a native Angeleno, current resident of Oxnard, admirer and Times subscriber of many years, I was saddened by the death of Otis Chandler. I admired his humanity, abilities, sensibilities, stamina and vision. The country, the newspaper business and Californians are all better for his having walked among us.
As I stood on the beach at his memorial, I felt lucky that I lived during his time. His legacy will live forever.
