Man, 83, Dies in Early Morning Fire

An 83-year-old man died and a 79-year-old woman was critically injured in a house fire in the 1000 block of Moraga Drive early Wednesday, authorities said.
Both were found in a second-floor bedroom, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Neither victim’s name was released.
The fire began before 2:30 a.m. in another second-floor bedroom, but the cause has not been determined.
