The Academy of Country Music considers Brad Paisley’s “Time Well Wasted” album time well spent, bestowing six nominations on him Wednesday, including album and male vocalist of the year.
Right behind Paisley, with five nominations each, are duo Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland, followed by Rascal Flatts and “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood at four each. The other album nominees are Rascal Flatts’ “Feels Like Today,” Gary Allan’s “Tough All Over,” Sugarland’s “Twice the Speed of Life,” and Lee Ann Womack’s “There’s More Where That Came From.”
Entertainer of the year contenders are Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. Awards will be announced May 23 in Las Vegas and telecast on CBS.
