Governor Hospitalized for Blood Clot

Gov. Ernie Fletcher was taken to a hospital in Frankfort for emergency treatment of a life-threatening blood clot near his jugular vein.
Doctors said Fletcher was awake and alert after undergoing a procedure to remove the clot.
It was the second time in a month that the 53-year-old Fletcher had been hospitalized.
He was released from the hospital last week after an 18-day stay during which he had his gallbladder taken out and suffered a blood infection..
