Help for abused horses

Re “Making a Stink Over a Stable,” March 9
It is mind-boggling that anyone could seriously object to the rehabilitation of abused horses in order to save them from the slaughterhouse. I applaud ranch owner Michele Testa’s devotion to these beautiful, noble creatures, which deserve some kindness and normalcy in their lives.
The neighbors who feel they cannot tolerate the horsy odor should try thinking beyond themselves and realize that these horses’ lives are at stake.
This ranch is an entirely appropriate use of the land, and I hope the parks administrators will relax their draconian stance to allow abused horses to have a second chance at life.
