Update -- Rookie quarterback Sonny Cumbie completed 24 of 43 passes for 295 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions in the Avengers’ 59-34 loss at Orlando last week. The Avengers gave up a season-high 84 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the ground against Orlando. The Avengers’ five-game skid is the longest under Coach Ed Hodgkiss. San Jose hasn’t played at home in six weeks.
