Father, Son Held in Machete Attack; 5 Hurt

A father and son have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and mayhem after a machete attack that injured five people, authorities said. Mark Allen Richardson, 47, and his son, Mark Emilio Richardson, 26, were being held without bail Sunday.
The attack occurred in an apartment about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, said fire Battalion Chief Jeff Sprague. One person jumped from a third-floor balcony to escape, suffering internal injuries, Sprague said. At least one victim was flown to a hospital while two others were taken by ambulance. Two others suffered minor injuries.
