Charlie, let’s take out the trash
After Notre Dame’s victory over overmatched Purdue, Coach Charlie Weis tells the press that the bulk of Purdue’s yardage was “garbage,” meaning it came with the outcome of the game no longer in doubt. What a classy statement from a guy who hasn’t worn a helmet since high school and has the same Irish coaching record as Ty Willingham.
Now we know why Weis is perceived as an arrogant bully, disliked by many. Maybe Pompous Charlie should check the game film of their games against Michigan and Michigan State before he calls another team’s performance “garbage.” Let’s see how Classy Charlie runs it up against Navy, Air Force, Army, Stanford, North Carolina and UCLA to impress the voters.
