Three people, including a firefighter, were injured Saturday when a fire scorched four apartment units, officials said.
The firefighter and one other person were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, while the third person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. None of their names were released.
The 2 p.m. blaze erupted from a row of 25-foot cypress trees between two apartment complexes in the 6100 block of Western Avenue, officials said. It took 80 firefighters about 50 minutes to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
