Canucks beat Oilers, 6-4, and run win streak to six

Matt Cooke scored 84 seconds into overtime Friday night to lift the Vancouver Canucks to their season-high sixth consecutive victory, 3-2 over the Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver, Canada.
Cooke, who has three goals in five games after netting only one in the previous 37, beat Dwayne Roloson with a one-timer.
Vancouver is 7-0 in overtime. Edmonton is 1-3.
The Oilers outshot the Canucks, 28-24.

Phoenix 5, Atlanta 4 -- Yanic Perreault scored 2:29 into overtime and the Coyotes rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat the Thrashers at Atlanta.
Phoenix stretched its winning streak to a season-high five games.

Pittsburgh 4, Buffalo 2 -- Evgeni Malkin, Ryan Whitney and Jordan Staal each had a goal and an assist, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 31 saves in the Penguins’ victory at Buffalo, N.Y.

Nashville 8, Chicago 3 -- Paul Kariya had a goal and three assists, Scott Hartnell scored twice and the Predators won at Chicago.

Colorado 4, Tampa Bay 2 -- Tyler Arnason broke a tie with a second-period goal and Joe Sakic scored on the power play in the Avalanche’s victory at Denver.
