Son of LAPD captain gets 5 years for robbery

A judge Tuesday sentenced the son of a Los Angeles police captain to five years in prison for armed robbery.
Kyle Jackson Jr., 20, son of LAPD Capt. Kyle Jackson, agreed to surrender Jan. 19 after he pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery.
The younger Jackson and two others were convicted of the June 6, 2006, robbery of a boutique in Westchester.
