* Lucasfilm Ltd., the film production company of “Star Wars” creator George Lucas, will be paid $250,000 by a Maryland man and his novelty company to resolve claims that he made and sold replica light sabers without permission. The settlement prevents William Osburn and his company, High-Tech Magic, from selling copies of the light-beam swords featured in the six-film “Star Wars” saga.
* Nestle agreed to purchase the Eskimo Pie and Chipwich ice cream brands from CoolBrands International Inc., paying $18.9 million through its U.S. unit Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Holdings Inc., Toronto-based CoolBrands said.
