The City Council approved a $7,500 consulting contract for former City Hall staffer Felipe Fuentes on Wednesday -- the day after the Democrat was elected to the state Assembly.
The contract was for Fuentes to help brief members of Richard Alarcon’s staff after Alarcon was elected to the council in March to replace Alex Padilla, who is now in the state Senate.
Fuentes had been Padilla’s chief of staff.
