New shops, homes going up in Azusa

Construction has begun on a $75-million redevelopment project in Azusa that will include shops, restaurants, theaters and residential town houses.
Los Angeles developer Trachman Indevco is building the retail improvements to Citrus Crossing, scheduled for completion in fall 2008 at the southwest corner of Citrus and Alosta avenues. New tenants will include Regency Theatres and Tesco’s Fresh & Easy, a grocery store.
Santa Monica-based Watt Communities will develop 102 town homes. The first units are set to be completed next summer.
