An argument at a house party early Sunday ended with one man using a friend’s car to hit another man, who later died, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Marquis DeJon Jiles, 25, of Northridge jumped into the Scion vehicle, drove away and then returned at a high speed, said Officer Jason Lee.
The car struck Maziar Tehrani, 29, of Encino and two others in the 7000 block of Delco Avenue, police said.
Tehrani died later at a hospital. The LAPD did not release the names of the two other victims, a man and a woman, who were treated and released.
Jiles allegedly left the scene but was arrested nearby, police said.
He is being held on suspicion of murder, and bail was set at $1 million.
