Records: Kings 11-11-4, Avalanche 13-13-1.

Record vs. Avalanche: 0-1-1.

Update: This will be the teams’ first meeting since Kings forward John Zeiler was suspended three games for hitting Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote from behind. Foote sustained back and neck injuries in that Nov. 22 incident and hasn’t played since. Zeiler is expected to play. The Kings will play only their ninth road game. The Kings have allowed 72 goals through 26 games this season, down from 85 at the same point last season.
