Young couple found shot to death in condo

A young Laguna Niguel couple were discovered shot to death in their bed Wednesday, authorities said.

The mother of the woman had not heard from her daughter for several days and found the couple about 2:30 p.m. in their condominium in the 100 block of Fleurance Street, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

There were apparent gunshot wounds on both the man and the woman, whom Amormino described as being in their mid- to late 20s. Homicide investigators were at the scene, but Amormino described the sheriff’s deputies as conducting a “death investigation” and was unable to specify whether the incident was a homicide or a suicide.
