Make room for war resisters

Re “Canadian House backs war resisters,” June 4
It’s sad when a sincere person like U.S. soldier Corey Glass must be put through such an ordeal to live with his conscience. If our government can’t recognize a person’s moral awakening either inside or outside the military and offer automatic alternative service to our country, then I hope that Canada will lead the way in offering what the U.S. can’t -- a haven for religious objectors to war and military service.
I am a conscientious objector to all wars. I refused to be drafted into the military and did alternative service at National Jewish Medical Center in Denver from 1967 to 1969.
