The CAT exercise run described in “Psst, Let’s Tunnel Out of Here” [June 5] is a wonderful idea. In fact, it should be mandatory to keep cats out of neighbors’ yards.

What a nice (and useful) article! I’ve passed it on to a friend who is sending it to birders, professional and amateur, all over the country. Domestic and feral cats have had a big, negative impact on America’s songbirds. You’ve presented an easy and inexpensive win-win solution.
