John McCain’s healthcare plan is perhaps on track because the days of stable, lifetime jobs seem to be ending. There are good insurance plans for young healthy consumers and the wealthy, and benefits for seniors. But who is looking out for the rest of us?
Ronald Brownstein makes an excellent point about the tripled administrative costs of individual versus group plans. How many dollars and lives could be saved with one solid, comprehensive Medicare-type plan that fostered prevention, timely intervention, treatment innovation, volume discounts and immediate and full compensation?
Why is an anti-socialist profit stance more American than healthcare equality?
