Bruins get chance to work through issues
For struggling UCLA, this game date carries a mark that reads “winnable.” Funny, Washington’s calendar says the same thing. Some issues surrounding today’s game:
Stop or start? Football or physics? UCLA’s offense struggles to run; Washington’s defense is prone to make sprinters of joggers.
No pass zone: UCLA’s numbers against the pass are pretty good. But is that because opponents are simply running out the clock?
Weather or not: The Bruins didn’t work wet-ball drills into their practice this week -- possibly because they’re still getting the dry stuff down.
Line dancing: More shuffling of the UCLA offensive front. Micah Reed gets the start at center. Coach Rick Neuheisel gives another lineman an unwelcome weekend off.
Coach class: Huskies fans may bark at UCLA’s coach in his return to Seattle. But will their football team bite?
