at Washington 124, Golden State 100: The Wizards’ Ed Tapscott, coaching his first game of any sort since a spot on the bench in his daughter’s youth league in 1993, guided the Wizards to a blowout, breaking a five-game losing streak and avoiding the worst 12-game start in franchise history. “We just fed off the energy,” Washington forward Antawn Jamison said. “We knew we had to get this win. It’s been a crazy 24 hours, and we just wanted to stop the bleeding.”
Phoenix 99, at Oklahoma City 98: Matt Barnes made a three-point basket with 25.7 seconds left to complete the Suns’ fourth-quarter rally and spoil Scott Brooks’ home debut as the Thunder’s coach. Oklahoma City led by as many as 16 points in the fourth quarter.
at Dallas 109, Indiana 106: Jason Terry scored 29 points and combined with Jason Kidd to key a fourth-quarter run that carried the Dallas Mavericks to their fifth straight victory. Terry and Kidd combined for all of Dallas’ points in an 18-8 spurt that helped the Mavericks erase a 13-point second-half deficit.
at Lakers 120, New Jersey 93: Pau Gasol had 26 points and eight rebounds before sitting out the fourth quarter for the Lakers.
