Big Ten: Ohio State rolls, Iowa struggles, Michigan State surprises

No. 9 Ohio State 33, at Indiana 14: Terrelle Pryor passed for three touchdowns and ran for one as the Buckeyes (4-1 overall, 2-0 Big Ten) notched their 16th straight Big Ten road win. The Hoosiers (3-2, 0-2) are the first team to score on Ohio State in nine quarters.

at No. 13 Iowa 24, Arkansas State 21: Ricky Stanzi threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns, and the Hawkeyes (5-0), off to their best start since 1995, held off the Red Wolves (1-3). Marvin McNutt caught two touchdown passes for Iowa.

No. 15 Penn State 35, at Illinois 17: The Nittany Lions (4-1, 1-1) kept the ball on the ground on a wet, windy, 50-degree day, rolling up 338 yards rushing in 40 carries against the Fighting Illini (1-3, 0-2). Stephon Green had 120 yards in 13 carries.

at Michigan State 26, No. 22 Michigan 20 (OT): Freshman Larry Caper ran for a 23-yard touchdown in overtime to give the Spartans (2-3, 1-1) their first two-game winning streak against the Wolverines (4-1, 1-1) since they won three straight from 1965-67. Tate Forcier threw for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to rally Michigan from 14 points down, connecting with Roy Roundtree for a two-yard score with nine seconds left in regulation.

Wisconsin 31, at Minnesota 28: John Clay rushed for three touchdowns and 184 yards (159 in the second half), and the Badgers (5-0, 2-0) beat the Gophers (3-2, 1-1) for the sixth consecutive time.

Northwestern 27, at Purdue 21: Mike Kafka kept for a two-yard touchdown with 2:09 left, then threw a two-point conversion pass to Drake Dunsmore, and the Wildcats (3-2, 1-1) beat the Boilermakers (1-4, 0-1), who squandered a 21-3 second-quarter lead.
