Angels: Looking at the week ahead
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY: TAMPA BAY
FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY: BALTIMORE
This is likely to be Carl Crawford’s last visit to Anaheim in a Rays uniform, so don’t blame the Angels if they spend much of the series wondering how the All-Star outfielder would look in the home whites. Crawford, 29, will be a free agent this winter and the Angels are among the clubs expected to make a big push to sign him — especially since he fits perfectly with Mike Scioscia’s aggressive managing style. Crawford has averaged 50 steals in his seven full seasons, leading the league four times. His presence would provide the Angels with a weapon they’ve been missing since Chone Figgins, the franchise leader in steals, left for Seattle last winter.
