Ask a local: Oh jeez, what are we gonna eat?

Las Vegas may be the Entertainment Capital of the World, but in between shows, nightlife and drinks, visitors have to eat. Unsurprisingly, the one question I get asked the most by those planning a trip to Las Vegas is where they should eat. I always ask for more information: What are you in the mood for? Is it a special occasion? However, a few restaurants always top my recommendation list.
Breakfast or brunch
For a casual start to the day (or anytime), HEXX Kitchen + Bar at Paris Las Vegas never disappoints. Not only does the24-hour eatery offer stunning views of the Fountains of Bellagio from its Strip-front patio, but the flavorful American fare can’t be beat. Be sure to stop by for breakfast or brunch to try its ahhh-mazing cinnaroll waffle, totally reminiscent of cinnamon roll from Cinnabon. hexxlasvegas.com
Lunch
Take a trip off-Strip for an unbelieveable lunch deal. Baja Miguel’s,located inside South Point Hotel,Casino &Spa,features lunch Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. where diners get a frozen margarita, a cup of the restaurant’s tasty fideo soup and their choice of two items- like the chicken or beef flautas- for only $9.95. With complimentary chips, salsa, guacamole and bean dip for the table, the short trip is entirely worth it. southpointcasino.com
Dinner
For a nice evening out, Morels Steakhouse & Bistro at the Palazzo is my best pick. While the elegant restaurant is known for its succulent steaks, its seasonal salads are equally delightful. Its bar is also a great place to socialize before a show, thanks to an extensive selection of wines by the glass and an impressive from age menu, which boasts 45 types of cheese! morelslv.com
