Facebook updates its mobile security

Facebook just added three new security features for its mobile users, but more likely than not, you’ll have to tap the mobile site instead of your apps to use them.
Among them are tweaks to login approval codes, more control over questionable content in your news feed, and account recovery.
If you have an Android phone, you can now get login approval codes through the Facebook app instead of via text message. The code refreshes every 30 seconds. Facebook said it’s working on expanding this to other devices. If you have an iPhone or other non-Android phone, you can still get the codes via text.
Before, it was only on a PC that you could flag inappropriate or undesirable content that came your way through the News Feed. Now you can hide or report any questionable content on the mobile site too. It’s not yet in the apps, but, again, Facebook says it’s working on that.
And last year, Facebook debuted options to help people whose accounts were compromised get them back. This was previously limited to the main site. Now Facebook has expanded this and its social authentication tool to work on mobile devices.
