Lakers’ Nick Young upgrades Tarzana home just for kicks

Proving yet again that his signature style is in a world of its own, fun-loving Lakers guard Nick Young is reportedly putting a “Swaggy P” stamp on the Tarzana home that he and rapper-model Iggy Azalea purchased last year from Selena Gomez.

A recent interview with Sports Illustrated’s Lee Jenkins revealed that the shooting guard, who has made no secret of his sneaker obsession, is converting a detached guesthouse found on the nearly one-acre property into a “shoe house.”

Adding to the legend, the report also notes that Young employs a pair of “shoe keepers” who are tasked with overseeing his vast collection of kicks, which include vintage LeBrons, Kobes and Air Jordans.

Besides the oversized closet, the traditional-style home features a great room, a card room, a media room, six bedrooms and nine bathrooms in more than 6,600 square feet of living space. A dining room and a living room with a fireplace sit on opposite sides of a central hall.

Outdoors, the gated grounds include a pool and spa. A blue-stone patio with a fountain sits at the front of the home.

Young and Azalea purchased the home from Gomez, who decamped to Calabasas earlier in the year, in November for $3.45 million. It previously changed hands in 2011 for $2.175 million, records show.

Young, 29, signed a four-year, $21.5 million contract to remain a Laker this offseason.
