Amber Riley faints, recovers, has a few good morning-after laughs

Yes, Amber Riley fainted on the red carpet before a “Glee” event Tuesday night, but she bounced right back to participate in a panel discussion that night and on Wednesday hit Twitter to explain what happened – and to squash some rumors.
She got a little dizzy from all the photographers’ flashes outside of the TV Academy of Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood, she said, even though the chaos isn’t exactly a new thing for her anymore. “Still a red carpet amateur I guess. Gonna get checked out but I feel fine.”
Also, perhaps showing that classy treatment begets classy treatment, she thanked the folks behind those flashes for “not taking photos of me on the ground. I truly truly appreciate it. Could have been super embarrassing.”
The laundry list of rumors she squashed? Not pregnant. Not diabetic. Not dieting. Not self-loathing. Not starving herself to fit into clothes (though she did recently adjust her food choices, and dropped a couple of dress sizes.)
“I love myself waaaay more than I like my career,” she wrote. “I would never ever put myself in harm’s way to mirror any ‘image’. Come on ppl. Get a life. I did get a great laugh this morning reading all the BS though.”
Seriously, the girl does have more important fish to fry – or at least a more important “Trouty Mouth” to navigate on a semi-regular basis.
During the Tuesday panel discussion, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Riley shared one hazard inherent in her character Mercedes’ on-screen romance with Chord Overstreet’s Sam, he of the prominent pout.
“It’s always interesting when we kiss because both of our lips are so big,” she said with a laugh. “We have to figure out whose lips are going to be on top.”
After all, we wouldn’t want anyone to faint.
