The second season of Aaron Sorkin’s new HBO drama, “The Newsroom” debuts July 14. To talk about the show and the challenge of learning Sorkin’s verbose dialogue, Olivia Munn recently sat down to talk to The Times via video chat.
Munn plays financial analyst Sloan Sabbith on the nightly newscast, “News Night,” hosted by Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels). As the second season begins, the staff of the show find themselves getting in trouble following the reporting of an important story on the show.

Of course, Munn being Munn, the topic of the chat quickly changed to her dedicated fans, ComicCon, her own proposed convention (“Munn-dercon”) and even her upcoming horror film, “Beware the Night.”
