Project Runway All Stars The designers create resort wear and swimsuits using fabrics they must first collect from under water in this new episode. 9 p.m. Lifetime
Expedition Unknown The premiere of this travel adventure series looks at evidence from the 1937 disappearance of Amelia Earhart. 9 p.m. Travel
Two and a Half Men Alan (Jon Cryer) is conflicted when Herb (Ryan Stiles) asks him if it’s OK to ask out Lyndsey (Courtney Thorne-Smith) in this new episode. 9 p.m. CBS
The McCarthys Jane Kaczmarek guest stars in this new episode as Marjorie’s (Laurie Metcalf) visiting sister. Their long-standing sibling rivalry doesn’t take long to erupt. 9:30 p.m. CBS
Elementary Worried over the whereabouts of a nurse who was her co-worker, Watson (Lucy Liu) asks Holmes and Kitty (Jonny Lee Miller, Ophelia Lovibond) for help in finding her. Aidan Quinn also stars in this new episode. 10 p.m. CBS
Parenthood Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) suffers a post-operation setback and is rushed back to the hospital, and the whole family stands vigil as the soon-to-end drama enters its home stretch with this new episode. Sam Jaeger, Erika Christensen, Peter Krause, Bonnie Bedelia and Ray Romano also star. 10 p.m. NBC
Archer In the animated series’ season premiere Archer (voice of H. Jon Benjamin) must salvage a crashed plane in a jungle. 10 p.m. FX
Portlandia The comedy series featuring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein returns for a new season. 10 p.m. IFC
Babylon Director Danny Boyle co-created this six-part drama, imported from Britain, about an American (Brit Marling), who has been recruited by London’s chief constable (James Nesbitt) to overhaul the police department’s tarnished public image. 10 p.m. Sundance
