Bullet train: An article in the June 2 LATExtra section about efforts to block the proposed bullet train project said that riders of Amtrak’s San Joaquin service through the Central Valley must take buses from Los Angeles to Bakersfield and from Stockton to Oakland. Only some trains on the San Joaquin service require the bus trip from Stockton to Oakland.
Carmen Trutanich: In the June 1 LATExtra section, an article about the record of Los Angeles City Atty. Carmen Trutanich said that an ordinance regulating medical marijuana dispensaries was partly invalidated by a federal judge. It was a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge who declared parts of the ordinance invalid.
Out-of-state colleges: In the June 4 Section A, a graphic accompanying an article about California high school students choosing to go to out-of-state colleges indicated that students who chose the University of Oregon could receive a tuition discount through the Western Undergraduate Exchange program. The University of Oregon participates in the program but does not include students from California.
