Santa Clarita woman’s body found in Angeles National Forest

The body of a Santa Clarita woman who disappeared last week has been found in the Angeles National Forest.
Investigators confirmed Friday that the body was that of 59-year-old Renata Klein. Her husband, Dusan Klein, also 59, was still missing, along with their 10-year-old black-and-white cocker spaniel, Cindy.
Public works employees found Renata Klein’s body about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday off Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road. The cause of death remains unknown, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The Kleins lived on Wildwind Road in Santa Clarita, authorities said. They spoke to friends on June 11 and are believed to have left home that day in their gold 1999 Jeep Cherokee with their dog. Family members reported the two missing.
“This is really out of the ordinary for them,” Sheriff’s Deputy Aura Lidman told a KTLA-TV Channel 5 reporter. “They are not the type of people that would just up and disappear or anything like that, so family members are really concerned.”
Detectives described Dusan Klein as 6 feet 2 inches , weighing 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities have not deemed him a suspect in this case. He was still listed as a missing person.
The Kleins’ Jeep has the California license plate number 4FLN519 and a sticker on the rear window with the words “American Travel.”
