Police on Monday were investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Bellflower after an argument in his car with another man, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported about 9:10 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Woodruff Avenue. When Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived, they found a vehicle on the sidewalk and the driver bleeding from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital, a Los Angeles County coroner’s official said.
Officials said the victim and the shooter — described as a Latino in his early 20s between 5-feet-9 and 6-feet tall with dark hair — were in the victim’s car when they began arguing.
The victim was shot and then tried to drive off, crashing his car onto the sidewalk.
The shooter escaped in another car, authorities said.
