One man was killed and two wounded when gunfire broke out on a traffic-clogged street in San Pedro, police said Thursday night.
Multiple gunshots were reported about 6:15 p.m. Thursday near Gaffey and 5th streets after a car with three people drove up. At least two exited the vehicle and opened fire, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
A car was riddled with bullets, and the shooters drove away, Officer Norma Eisenman said. She said the shooting was possibly gang related.
At least 35 homicides have been reported in San Pedro since January 2007, according to The Times’ Homicide Report database.
