A drama unfolded at an apartment near the Grove on Monday morning, with numerous shots fired and a woman screaming from inside the home.
Now, police say they have found the bodies of two people inside the apartment, where a suspect was barricaded, and believe it to have been a murder-suicide.
Police received calls about 7:30 a.m. that shots had been fired and a woman was screaming in the apartment in the 300 block of Hauser Boulevard, LAPD Officer Jack Richter said. SWAT officers were summoned because of the barricaded suspect.
The barricade situation ended with the discovery of two bodies in the Fairfax-area apartment, according to the LAPD.
Police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide, Officer Drake Madison said.
Late Monday, officials identified the deceased as rapper Earl Warren Hayes, 34, and his wife, reality TV personality and dancer Stephanie Elyse Moseley, 30. Police say Hayes shot and killed Moseley, then killed himself.
