Three people were arrested and charged Tuesday in connection with the killing of a 43-year-old man in Carson, authorities said.
A three-week investigation into the death of Jose Frank Johnson ended when Torrance detectives said they tracked down the man’s alleged killers.
Michael Frank Trujillo, 31, of Long Beach, Ernie Lee Ramos Jr., 33, and Angelina Marie Garcia, 33, both from Carson, were arrested in connection with the slaying
The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office filed murder charges against them, and they were arraigned Tuesday at Southwest Court in Torrance.
Homicide detectives began their investigation Nov. 3, when Johnson’s body was found inside a vehicle at a parking structure near Pacific Coast Highway and Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance.
Investigators believed Johnson was killed at a home in Carson, several miles east of where his body was found, and claim the three suspects moved the body to Torrance.
Authorities would say only that Johnson died of blunt-force trauma. They did not want to disclose further details about the case.
