Timo Saarelma photographed the condensation trail of a plane flying over Southern California on Dec. 7. “The passing plane reminded me of my own transatlantic flights, the goodbyes and reunions that are part of traveling and having family and friends in different countries and continents,” he said. Saarelma took this photo at sunset in Los Feliz with a Canon EOS 7D.
