Jett was having a conversation with his girlfriend in Inglewood in her parked car. Above them, inbound planes headed toward Los Angeles International Airport.
As they were talking, Jett took notice of the beautiful sunset reflected in the car’s side view mirror and waited for the right moment.
“I am captivated how in this small given airspace above [one of] the busiest airports in the world, LAX, the airplanes and the birds fly in harmony,” he said. “It is like an unforeseen friendship between man and his machine and nature.”
Jett, who did not submit a last name with his photo, took the image in November with his Nikon D5200 and a 35mm 1.8 lens.
