Pedestrian killed by truck in Fountain Valley

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup Tuesday morning in Fountain Valley, police said.
An off-duty police officer reported the incident at 5:34 a.m. near the intersection of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue, Sgt. Kham Vang said.
Police said a man was walking along Warner when the truck hit him.
Police did not release the man’s name pending notification of next of kin. His age and city of residence were not immediately available.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was later hospitalized, according to a news release. Police said they do not suspect alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
