Huntington Beach has selected its new city treasurer, the city announced in a release.
Alisa Cutchen will finish the term of Shari Freidenrich, who was elected county treasurer and tax collector in November.
Cutchen co-owns and serves as the vice president of Gersten Capital Management in Irvine. She has been a Huntington Beach resident for 10 years.
“I am very honored and excited to be named the city’s treasurer,” Cutchen said in the release. “It is very rewarding to be a part of this great city and I am looking forward to working with the City Council and staff to continue ensuring that our funds are managed prudently and according to the established investment policy.”
Cutchen earned a master’s in business administration from Duke University and a bachelor’s in political science from UCLA, according to the release.
